Mary Rosswurm, MBA Executive Director
Career bio:
Mary earned her MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Purdue University. She attended Penn State to complete the Behavior Analysis Certification Board’s requirements and will sit for the BCBA exam in 2011. As an active member in the autism community and as a parent of a child with autism, Mary was appointed by Indiana Senator Brian Bosma to serve a two year term on the Indiana Commission for Autism. In 2007 she was appointed to a second two-year term by State Senator Gary Dillon.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don't know about Mary: She has six dogs which she refers to as her "Six Pack." She has a Bloodhound, a American Foxhound, a Basset Hound, a Bluetick Coonhound, a Yorkie-Poo, and a Rat Terrier.


Tim Courtney, MS, BCBA Research & Training Director
Career bio:
Tim graduated with a Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in 2006 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst that same year. He has worked as a behavior analyst since 2003 with different organizations across the United States. In addition to his work as a behavior analyst, Tim has been a co-instructor in the ABA department of FIT since 2007. His research interests includes functional assessment, medical and dental avoidance and escape behavior, verbal behavior, and dissemination of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Tim is currently working on his Ph.D. in Special Education at Purdue University.

One thing you don't know about Tim: Big Star Wars fan, even goes to Star Wars conventions.


Lisa Steward, MA, BCBA Clinical Director
Career Bio:
Lisa is a board certified behavior analyst with 12 years of experience working with individuals with autism and their families in home, community, and school settings. Her expertise includes behavior consultation, program development and staff training. Lisa received her B.A. in Psychology from Purdue University, her M.A. in Special Education from Ball State University and also completed the certificate program in applied behavior analysis through Ball State. She’s a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International and the Hoosier Association for Behavior Analysis.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don't know about Lisa: She's a motorcycle enthusiast.


Maggie Dickson, MS, BCBA Assistant Clinical Director
Career Bio:
Maggie earned her Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University in August 2010 and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Western Michigan University prior to that. Her career in autism started in 2004 in an ABA based early intervention preschool classroom and continued on to working for the Center for Autism at WMU as an undergraduate therapist in the Parent Training Clinic and Behavior and Diagnostic Clinic. While completing her Master’s, she worked full-time at the New England Center for Children from as a case-manager.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don't know about Maggie: She is an advanced certified scuba diver and has gone shipwreck diving in Lake Huron.


Leigh Broughan, MA, BCBA Program Manager
Career Bio:
Leigh received her undergraduate degree in Special Education from Providence College and her Masters in Applied Psychology from NYU. She became certified as a BCBA in 2008 from Penn State University. Leigh has worked in the ABA field for nine years, providing direct service in a home-based program and then supervising home and preschool-based ABA programs. She sits on the Board of Directors for the Association for Science in Autism Treatment (ASAT).
Fun Fact:
One thing you don’t know about Leigh: Even though she lived in New York City for seven years, at heart she's just a skeet-shooting, Dolly Parton-loving gal from the great north woods of Maine.


Jamy Wisher, BS Program Manager
Career Bio:
Jamy earned her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University. She is has worked in the field of ABA for past six years. Before joining Little Star Center in March 2011 as a Program Manager, Jamy directed a preschool for one year. She is currently working on her Masters degree in ABA and Autism and hopes to become a BCBA in 2012.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don’t know about Jamy: She beat out all the boys in third grade to win the watermelon seed spitting contest.


Hannah Redman, BS Program Manager
Career Bio:
Hannah grew up in Pittsboro, IN and attended IUPUI for her undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education. She is currently enrolled in a Masters program for Applied Behavior Analysis through Ball State University and plans to obtain Board Certification upon completion of required coursework. Hannah first began working with children on the spectrum when she was employed as a direct care provider for children and adults with autism in a home and community based setting. Before becoming a Program Manager, Hannah worked as a therapist and team leader at Little Star.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don't know about Hannah: She has moved 27 times in her life, 20 of the times were in the same town of Pittsboro.


Kasey Philpott, MS, CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist
Career Bio:
Kasey received her Bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2006. She then went on to earn a Masters degree (also in Speech Language Pathology) from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York in 2008. While working on her Masters degree she participated in two internships in Michigan working with special populations. Prior to coming to Little Star she worked as a Speech Language Pathologist at an Elementary School in Wayland, Michigan.

One thing you don't know about Kasey: She was a Disneyworld Dancer the summer after she graduated from high school.


Tiffany Fritz, OTR Registered Occupational Therapist
Career Bio:
Tiffany received her Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University in 2004. She completed her pediatric clinical affiliation in New Albany, Indiana. While in college, Tiffany worked as a one-on-one assistant to a little girl with autism before and after school. Prior to joining Little Star Center in 2011, she worked in early intervention (First Steps) for four years.

One thing you don’t know about Tiffany: Her secret passion is home décor… every time her husband goes out of town, she redecorates a room to surprise him.


Erin Cruse-Quirk, BA Training Coordinator
Career Bio:
Erin graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL in May of 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She had the privilege of taking two classes in ABA while at Rollins and started working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in March of 2008 as a therapist doing home programming. After moving back to Indiana, Erin began working as a Frontline Therapist at Little Star and was later promoted to Team Leader before becoming Little Star's Training Coordinator.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don't know about Erin: She would like to have her own pottery studio space in her home.


Amanda Ryan Community Outreach & Marketing Director
Career Bio:
In her role at Little Star, Amanda has primary accountability for the marketing strategies and operations as well as the management of online media. Prior to Amanda's current role, she has held positions as a Communications Manager, Graphic Designer and Media Specialist. Amanda is an Executive Board Member for Happy Hollow Childrens Camp and is also the Philanthropy Chair for the alumnae chapter of her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Advertising with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Southern Indiana.

One thing you don't know about Amanda: She has seen the Dave Matthews Band in concert 65 times.


Dwayne McCoy Center Controller
Career Bio:
After graduating from Oakland City University in 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Dwayne started his career in the healthcare industry as an Office Manager. He worked his way up through the company to the corporate level in 1998. After eight years in healthcare, Dwayne changed industries to construction and has spent the last eight years as the Controller of a construction supply company. During that time, he received his MBA from the University of Indianapolis and currently serves on the Board of Managers at the Ransburg YMCA.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don't know about Dwayne: He played basketball in college and in 1994 was named to the Academic All-American team.


Shelly Will Center Manager
Career Bio:
Prior to joining the Little Star Center Team in February 2011, Shelly spent the last 25 years as the superintendent’s secretary at the Delphi Community School Corporation. Now Shelly assists staff and parents with any issues they may have and is in charge of the upkeep and purchasing for the Lafayette Center. Her favorite thing is watching the kiddos at Little Star get so excited every day.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don't know about Shelly: This mother of a 14-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy, likes to play video games just as much as they do.


Debbie Rowland Insurance Coordinator
Career Bio:
Debbie has been working in the field of insurance for over twenty-five years. Before becoming Little Star Center's Insurance Coordinator in March of 2011, she has worked mainly in specialty medical practices with patient accounts and insurance. Her most rewarding position was working with heart transplant patients at St. Vincent. There she was in charge of pre-determinations for insurance coverage. Debbie is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Psychology with an emphasis on children.
Fun Fact:
One thing you don't know about Debbie: She would like to one day retire and work on the Navajo Reservation helping children in need.


Lisa Striewe Accounting Coordinator
Career Bio:
Lisa has 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Accounting and has used this experience in various fields throughout her career. She began working for an insurance company right out of high school and spent the next 12 years working her way through the Claims and H.R. Departments. Before joining Little Star as the Accounting Coordinator in April 2011, she was working as an Office Manager where her time was spent on developing procedures and systems that would help prepare the company for growth.

One thing you don't know about Lisa: She is currently pursuing her degree in Child Development.
